　　A young man helps himself to one of the communal bikes that are available to all students and teachers at Tongji University’s Siping Road campus. About 200 bikes were saved from the scrap heap and made part of the free loan scheme, which was introduced this year to promote the idea of low-carbon transport. The bikes are easily identified thanks to their green color scheme. — IC
